Indonesia's Tasikmalaya starts implementing Islamic law
Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java, Indonesia is implementing a district-wide ordinance based on Muslim teachings that was first proposed in 2009. The law will require Muslim women to wear headscarves and make drinking alcohol illegal. Syarif Hidayat explains the rationale behind the legislation.
